Pascal Watty, Chief Executive Officer
Pascal Watty is one of the founders of First Genesis, Inc. As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Watty plays a critical role in development and management of new markets for the company. Mr. Watty’s focus has been on strategic planning, new business development, financial management, operations, and overseeing the vision for First Genesis. Mr. Watty has a unique ability to motivate the spirit of individuals to share his focus on quality and integrity. His contribution over the years has undoubtedly positioned the company for growth year after year.
He has extensive experience in business, including over 15 years in sales and marketing, finance administration, and senior management. Mr. Watty brings an inherited strong work ethic and desire to excel through his experience as a four year football letterman with the Texas Longhorns. His career began at The University of Texas receiving several accolades for his on and off-the-field performances, i.e. Most Improved Player, Student/Athlete(s) of the Year, and Community Participation Award.
Mr. Watty received his baccalaureate degree in Government from The University of Texas at Austin in 1994. He has training on Understanding Financial Statements, Business Administration, and International Business. These certifications give him an analytical and financial edge on improving the bottom line of the Company.
Ronald Watty, Chief Technology Officer
Ronald S. Watty is one of the founders of First Genesis and brings over 20 years of entrepreneurial and creative experience in information technology, consulting, sales, business development, product management, and product development. He has extensive experience in operations management, product and service marketing, and new market development. Mr. Watty’s background in the emerging technology industry gives him a clear vision that directs the goals of First Genesis.
Mr. Watty attended the University of Houston before becoming an entrepreneur. He holds certifications in Finance, Marketing, and Data Management. He joined American Express as a senior software developer in 1989. While there, he designed and developed a travel management system (i.e., TripPower, CardPower, and PurchasePower) for American Express corporate clients. This system helps manage corporate travel managers who handle up 20M in travel volume. In 1994, Mr. Watty joined Virtual Shopping as Product Development Manager. He designed and developed one of the first Video Conferencing call management systems and received training in Project Management, Product Management, and Marketing and Sales. As a Senior Lead Consulting to Bisys Group, Inc. Mr. Watty helped design and developed the company Data Warehouse infrastructure for building Data Cubes and Key Performance Indicator for financial industry.
Mr. Watty has received the African-American Business Achievement Pinnacle Award. He is very involved in his community, where he works with youths and young adults at his local church.
Joe Chirco, Chief Medical Officer
Mr. Chirco is an accomplished systems, sales, and business management professional with over thirty years of experience in generating revenues and profits in the highly competitive Telecommunications and Systems Integration Industries. Mr. Chirco was formerly the president of Intelligent Medicine, Inc. (IMED). He is recognized as a leader in delivering innovative telemedicine solutions who was elected Chairman of the American Telemedicine Association’s Industry Advisory Board. He was also one of four industry advisors to the ATA’s conference supporting Bio-Terrorism Response and Telemedicine. He designed Puerto Rico’s first telemedicine network. and was recenty recognized by the Federal Healthcare Administration and the Office of National Coordinator for Healthcare IT in Health and Human Services for his contributions to the interoperability of Electronic Medical Records.
His experience includes involvement in start-up and turnaround enterprises, international market development, major account management and new business development. Mr. Chirco graduated in 1968 with a BSEE from Rutgers College of Engineering, in 1972 with a MS Degree in Management Sciences and Operations Research from Stevens Institute of Technology, and in 1979 with an MBA Degree in Executive Sales Management from Columbia University.
For 17 years,Mr. Chirco held positions of increasing responsibility with AT&T, from Manufacturing Engineer and Department Chief of Engineering to National Account Manager and Division Manager (AVP). In these roles, he was responsible for product manufacturing, test systems design, data collection systems design, cost control, nationwide sales, and strategic business plans for computer and communications systems. He achieved 200% of his objectives and was twice recognized as “Man of the Year”, winning two AT&T Silver Corporate Awards.
Over the course of his career Mr. Chirco has held executive positions with ASI, Vertex and Aethra. In 1999, he became President of Intelligent Medicine, Inc, and in 2002 he became the CEO of First Genesis, Inc., where he directed the development of Mobius Health Information Services Exchange. It is in a large part due to Mr. Chirco’s innovation and dedication that, in 2010, First Genesis received recognition as a member of the top 50 Fastest Growing Technology Companies in the Houston, Texas area.
Mr. Chirco is married and has three daughters and five grandchildren. He serves on the Industry Advisory Board for Rutgers College of Engineering and is active in his community as an officer in the Knights of Columbus, his Catholic Church’s Pastoral Council, the Advisory Board of Directors for Rutgers College of Engineering, and the Board of Directors for Park’s Youth Ranch. He enjoys volunteering for community projects, bicycling, and traveling with his wife Connie.
Rhonda Cummings, Chief Marketing & Sales Strategist
Ms. Cummings has over 15 years of executive operations, marketing, and sales experience, ten of which were spent working with software and technical solutions. Through the years, she has demonstrated her ability to increase sales volume through market penetration, new account development, and existing account management skills. Her extensive experience in planning, organization, and managerial direction of business operations and marketing programs, combined with her knowledge of expense control, allows First Genesis to effectively sell technology-based solutions to end-user clients.
Prior to First Genesis, Ms. Cummings served as executive territory manager for Kellogg, where she generated over $7 million in sales, resulting in a 40% growth in the Chicago, Illinois territory. Ms. Cummings was also chosen to represent Kellogg annually on WGN television and national television programs for UNCF with Lou Rawls.
In addition, Ms. Cummings also chaired an annual Small Business Expo (Government Procurement Connections GPC) for two consecutive years. This event has been held for twenty year and is the premier government contracting event for small, women, minority,disabled and disadvantaged business owners. Ms. Cummings was responsible for securing renowned Motivational speakersGeorge Fraser and Les Brown to speak to 4000 small businesses in attendance. She is currently co-chair for the GPC marketing committee.
Ms. Cummings graduated from Jackson State University in Mississippi and received a Microsoft Business Training certificate, as well as a ProGroup, Inc. Diversity Training Certificate. She is also a member of the NASA Joint Leadership, the Houston Minority Supplier Development Council, and the Greater Houston Partnership of Small Businesses.
